 Gertrude Elizabeth Abbott, spouse of Jesse Willis I Kochersperger and Elwyn Eacker.

Gertrude Elizabeth Abbott was born on July 10, 1922 in Townsend, Northampton County, Virginia, USA, to Bertie O. Abbott and Mamie Sue Costin. She was a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

About 1940 she married in Townsend, Northampton County, Virginia, Jesse Willis I Kochersperger from the branch of Johann Martin I Kochersperger, lineage George II Kochersperger, USA. To the couple was born a son:

In 1944 Jesse Willis I Kochersperger became a soldier of the US-Army. He served in the 47th Infantery-Regiment , 9th Infantery-Division. After a few month in the war effort he was killed in action on Dec. 17, 1944, only eight days before his 21st Birthday, at Bastogne, Belgium. He is buried in the American War Cemetery, Henri-Chapelle, Hombourg, Belgium.

About 1946 Gertrude Elizabeth married a second time. Her second husband was Elwyn Jake  Eacker. To this union were born the following children:

Gertrude Elizabeth was a resident of Hampton, Virginia,  for 66 years. She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church in Yorktown and drove a school bus for Newport News Public Schools for 9 years.

Her second husband Elwyn Jake Eacker preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2007 in Hampton, Virginia. Gertrude followed him on July 16, 2013. She is buried at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
